IS is a mess

Pros

None that I can think of.

Cons

30 million into a 100 million transition to the cloud and they still haven't decided on which cloud provider. Senior leadership town halls have more details into their properties purchases than where IS is in its transition to the cloud. Senior leadership doesn't relize a cloud provider is a single point of failure. This filters down across leadership at my level. In operations our leaders have very little technical experience and don't think they need to.

Pros

The trips. But you somehow pay for them. They are never "free". The training is very good. But if you leave too soon, you owe them the tuition!! And Penny Pennington, new CEO, seems respectable.

Cons

If you are considering this fine firm, take off your rose-colored glasses and really perform your due diligence. It is not all sunshine and lollipops people. They will become your WORST nightmare if you stop drinking their juice. You are never truly an entrepreneur as they lead one to believe. THEY OWN YOU and every client you worked hard to obtain. Should you ever leave? That sweet mid-western dimply facade suddenly falls to the wayside and you'll quickly learn you are the David to their Goliath. They are known in the industry for their crude and bullying ways.

Hard work + Luck = Sky's The Limit

Pros

Edward Jones is committed to giving FA's the opportunity to succeed. The training and entry salary they offer is amazing. The company has good, and modern, benefits and treats all employees respectfully. If you can make it work you can have an unlimited income potential.

Cons

To achieve the potential in a reasonable amount of time, you will need to work very hard and have some luck. Working hard will get you there eventually but will take longer than you expect. A lucky few big clients, or being in the right place/time to take over an existing book will be critical in getting you to where you want to be in less than 6-8 years.
