Pros

Decent enough work environment, some friendly colleagues, decent benefits & PTO.

Cons

By the time I left, we had none of the original team leading the department, most of them had little to no experience with what our daily work consisted of and some of them were only with the firm itself for less than a year. We had way too much work piled on us and the expectations were absolutely heinous. I’m also gonna blame some of the madness and stress on the branches. I mean, for the love of GOD…YOU CAN DO BETTER AND TREAT YOUR COLLEAGUES BETTER!!!

Pros

Penny is an outstanding Managing Partner who truly cares about people and the mission. It's inspiring honestly. Our FAs and BOAs are killing it in the market and saving our Bonus Levels every Trimester. Bonus 3 times a year is nice

Cons

Everything else below Penny. Speaking of the Digital Portfolio: Leaders fill their day with politicking meetings fighting over priorities and budgets while the rest of us in middle management and below are caught in the crossfire out in No Mans Land. They promote based on back door alliances and people who have a Maverick attitude and will do whatever they feel is necessary to meet their individual bonus objectives. This organization changes org structure and job details more than I change the oil in my car. Every time they do so, they upend nearly all of the "progress" made to that point. The org is in a perpetual state of Storming and never gets to Performing.

-Many Leaders actually do care about you -Many Branch Teams are Kind and Easy to Work With -Underscore development and key skills

Cons

Where to begin. They have changed the culture. Everything is about optimizing this and optimizing that but they never want to invest the resources to see it through well. IE they say they want to see results but don’t actually put in the pay and time. Everything is a priority. -Pay regardless of location is the same (ie Tempe and STL the wages are the same) even though cost of living is not -401K they do profit sharing but there is only a match up to $500 -Some GPs only care about their partnership gains (IE maximize profit now even if it hurts strategy and firm later) -Some FAs are entitled even if you try and help
