Pros
The culture is unlike any other. They believed in me when I wasn't sure I believed in myself. The company is supportive, collaborative, and ethical. We have the best training in the industry. We have received the client excellence award from J.D. Power. I was lucky to be able to accept the 1st place award as Metro Detroit's BEST place to work for 2018. This was an award WE voted for. So I'm not the only one who feels that way. We take each other's success (and failure) very personally.
Cons
If you don't take advantage of the events that are designed to bring you closer to your peers, it can be a very lonely job. If you are not self-motivated, this job will be difficult. There is no one to tell you what to do at what time. No one is going to look over your shoulder on a daily basis to make sure that you're doing your job. When you see people post negative remarks about the company, they tend to struggle holding themselves accountable, reaching out for support, and managing their daily schedule. Their failure is personal failure and it's not due to the company's lack of effort. Also, we do spend time getting to know people by knocking on doors. It is very humbling and difficult at times. But it is a strategy.
