Just a Job

Pros

Generous PTO Generous misc benefits Great work-life balance in some departments

Cons

Not much room for growth if you aren't an accountant. Reviews only go one way, the company isn't interested in how subordinates feel about superiors, just the other way around. There is a disconnect between management and workers.

NetSuite Consulting Practice 2023-2025

Pros

-Leadership is understanding, grounded, approachable, and treats their employees with respect (more so than any other place I've worked). -Individual's PTO/day to day schedule is extremely flexible and employee driven. Deliverables and client satisfaction are all that matter (no one is monitoring your Teams status for inactivity). PTO does not require any sort of formal approvals or review, you are simply trusted to handle the gap in timelines for deliverables/managed services. -Individuals across all levels of experience and expertise are trusted with not only their responsibilities but also given challenges to grow/learn from. -Collaboration and team enablement are encouraged and emphasized as more important than individual billable hours/output. -Team has a breadth of experience and is always willing to share knowledge. -Vast inventory of consulting material/instructions/templates to utilize (if you take the time to find them yourself).

Cons

-2024 revenue was below expectations, leading to lay-offs and minimal salary increases in 2025. -General exposure/access to training/best practices/existing documentation is unclear and not well communicated. -Mid level management turnover and re-organization in 2025 has disrupted internal culture but overall pros/cons are yet to be determined. -Path to promotion/salary increase is unclear and timelines are not well communicated. -Compensation itself is solely driven by base salary, there are no incentive programs tied to performance.
