Cons

I was told that they didn't have to pay me my vacation time when leaving the company because in Arizona they dont do it . The store director jose guerrero from store 53 had no respect for the employees who worked hard everyday, there's no communication between managers and the rest of the employees. The director is very rude,if they treated people with respect Maybe the store would have more than 2 cashiers per shift . This company doesn't like paying overtime, the system is messed up they keep you under 40 hours and you work 6 days a week 6 or 7 hours a day.

Pros

It's a paycheck, and that's about the only Pro I can come up with.

Cons

This is about the corporate office located in Paramount. Although El Super is a growing and profitable company, they have a lot to learn about how to treat their employees. Employees here are suppressed and discouraged from expressing themselves and being individuals. You walk into the corporate office and you literally hear crickets chirping. There is dead silence the entire day. This silence comes from fear, fear of retribution from management if you even attempt to talk to your neighbor, use your cell phone, or God forbid use the internet on your computer or eat at your desk. There is a culture of fear at this company, and no employee who works here is happy or comfortable. There are no vacation days, no sick days, and only 5 paid holidays. One of the worst companies I have ever worked for.
