Pros
-People who work here are smart and purpose-driven. Mentality of ownership and everyone is empowered. -Compensation and benefits are great for the area. Recently instituted 18 weeks maternity leave. 401k has dollar for dollar match and extra 3% end of year. -You can go into different areas that are interesting and the company will invest in you and cross train you. I started as a contractor and was eventually brought on the commercial side full time. -CEO is passionate and he even shares his cell number with all employees. Very smart and caring management.
Cons
-Bayer culture. Management on commercial has been taken over by incompetent Bayer leaders who think they are better than everyone and don’t listen or delegate. Elanco people were let go in the acquisition and not Bayer, leaving a lot of tension between the two different groups. -Diversity & inclusion are discussed, but don’t see leaders at the top to reflect this nor goals in middle management. The reason cited is that there isn’t a pool of diverse candidates at lower levels, but those candidates do join but don’t seem to stay. -Constant change, not for the weary of heart.
