      Great Benefits for employees including insurance and tuition assistance.

      Cons

      Discriminatory hiring practices, leadership choices are often due to favoritism and not who can do the best job, Human Resources is of no help. If you are looking for a place to elevate your leadership, this may not be the right company for you, unless you have a certain look and are willing to do anything current management tells you to do -- even if it is not of quality work. There is a definite negative change of the culture of the company after Amerigroup was brought by Anthem.

      Good friends and stable work

      Cons

      In order to advance you have to know someone. You can't advance to a VP level if you're not a director-you must go in order regardless of skill. HR does not develop future leaders or managers. Culture is stale and lack of innovation. If you want a stable environment with no advancement, you will like working here. Pay is not industry standard and you will not get a bonus regardless how good you are- it depends on company performance which is not good.
