Pros

The children are great. Coworkers are ok.

Cons

Management sucks, they don't ever follow policy until daycare comes around, and refuse to pay more but will shower us with food instead of giving a raise.

Pros

Great kids, opportunities for creativity, good budget for ordering supplies. Diverse environment with people from all backgrounds.

Cons

Toxic work environment (bullying in plain sight, favoritism, retaliation), work 1 major holiday and 2 minor every year plus they will try to guilt you into working extra holidays (Halloween, special events) and change your schedule. All therapy staff work 4 days 10 hours, except Therapeutic Rec. who works 5 days 8 hours including weekends. Little support from middle management who do not have direct contact with residents. Constant scrutiny with no appreciation or positive feedback for staff. As the other reviews say- there are cameras everywhere (which is understandable since the residents are medically fragile and do not speak) but "Big Brother" is constantly watching and will scrutinize your every move with no support to help staff learn and grow. There is a culture of "ratting people out" where staff do not trust each other and you can be reported for anything. You are immediately assumed to be guilty before you can be proven innocent. Additionally- The CEO is the legal guardian of one of the residents and makes all decisions based off of that resident. This is not the least restrictive environment for several residents of this facility.
