Pros

Immediate vesting on 401k- that is all

Cons

Lack of appreciation and support, no opportunities to grow and learn. Lack of integrity by superiors. Lack of trust and respect. Be prepared to be micromanaged! A lot of folks are quitting for good reason or being let go more frequently (RIF) and being replaced by younger, cheaper, inexperienced workers. Remote workers are being phased out in order to utilize trendy “me too” office space. No work/life balance. Be prepared to receive emails late at night, on weekends and while on vacation.

Pros

Good work place in terms of design (does it really matter that much?). Good for junior level only.

Cons

First of all, most of the Managers (software dev managers) are useless here. they do not know how to manage the team. they have just evolved as technical folks and company promoted them just because they were the tech leads and needed a promotion. they make the working environment so hostile and nobody takes any action on it. management and HR are informed about all these work issues, but there is absolutely no action on it. second, powers lies with US executives. simple! compare Manager in india and equivalent in US, US managers would always be more powerful. Old timers in Ellucian have become pain point here. they donot have any new ideas. they just change the UI of application and think that they have done amazing stuff, but it doesnot change the user experience. they need to see other enterprise application. Ellucian feels good initially but sucks the blood out slowly, ofcourse there might be some good team but most of the part, it is just bad. application becomes so complex, nobody would know the answer, New business analysts are all less than 5 years old exp and they donot know much about writing the specification, and it becomes such huge burden for product managers. now again, NEVER join as Product manager. I have seen them struggling with sky high expectation and team doesnot give them respect. Product manager based out of US has all the commands. so much changes keep happening at uppper and upper mid level that it is very shaky to be here. CPO and CMO were fired for no apparent reason. last but most important, they pay poorly and argue that they have done enough market research to know the salary range and would justify it. But, it sucks.
