Pros

Good people to work with for the most part. Established products in Higher Education space which for the most part are well liked by customers. Competitive benefits and salary.

Cons

Many organizational changes. Multiple products that are similar (due to mergers, etc). They have many projects in the pipeline for which they have under estimated the time, effort, and costs associated. Smaller remote offices feel cut off from company culture and resources.

Pros

A small number of wonderful people who struggle through the politics, despite not being valued or appreciated.

Cons

Everything else! The senior management have no idea what is truly going on around the world. They preach values that middle management don't employ. They overlook and protect bullies and then make lower positioned people feel worthless. The pressure that is placed on staff to go above and beyond is far more than any other company would even dream of expecting and is unrealistic. It's not a culture that you can grown, be yourself or show initiative. It's do as they demand or face the consequences. Pay scale is totally unfair and depends in who you are not what you do. They only value a handful of people and if you are not one of them then life will be very difficult.

Pros

Benefits. There is a handful (not more) of people that are fantastic to work with.

Cons

Training? not from the company. You are expected to self-train, no matter what level you are. Then, when you can't guess their processes and procedures, they tell you you don't do enough. Management lives in their own little world, thinking they are doing a great job, then feeling offended if surveys repeatedly come back negative. You are rarely provided with any guidance.
