Pros

I can only speak for the customer success org, but as a millennial working for a huge software company (kinda the dream) I can say that there are well defined steps that employees can take to move up the ladder and it's not just into a management position, its 4 or 5 levels above that too. Professional growth and asking questions isn't just recommend during onboarding and then forgotten, it is continuously brought up and opportunities are pushed so the employees become better and bring more value to the team and to the company. Our direct reports are blunt and honest about things and it feels like an actual team even though members of the team are scattered across the country. We have the ability to work from home in a lot of positions and if you live in the northern Virginia area there is a brand new state of the art HQ opening up that is a west coast tech startup dream. Work is consistent and challenging and I have never felt like I was left out on my own. The company has worked hard since their merger (which if you read other reviews did cause a lot of issues) and the Ellucian culture is now very strong and that makes me feel like I am a productive part of the business.

Cons

This is my first remote position so it does take a while to get use to not working hand in hand with other people. Building close relationships with people takes a longer time because of this. I have learned that working from home actually makes me more productive though. There are times during the year where the entire team meets up which is great. Compensation could be higher, I live in a very expensive area though so that could be subjective.

Pros

Smart well motivated team. Great place to get started.

Cons

Very political upper management. Very disorganized. New to cloud development. New to scrum. Does not "walk the talk".

Pros

The Technological advances this product company has made is simply ammazzing. From an outdated Oracle forms based product to Cloud transformation has brought back customer faith in the company. CTO and CEO are really awesome and know what they're doing and have steered the company in a positive direction. They seem to have enough reach and control in U.S office but don't have any effect in India office which is their major offsite development center.

Cons

Politically driven management. Great divide between U.S and India teams. Bias on a daily basis in terms of treating India employees. Although we are doing good in terms of capabilities and deliverables, India team is deliberately not given due recognition and many a times U.S teams steal the credit cleverly. India office is full of racism and to grow in this office you'll need to belong to a particular race (Tamil Community) otherwise the India Management makes sure you'll be out for some or the other reason. India office also tweaks Employee Satisfaction surveys and in one instance my manager was able to pin point my comment and was sure I expressed that opinion. So much for Anonymous Surveys. Nothing is anonymous and whole Employee Satisfaction survey is rigged or tweaked and they make sure to punish those who raised their voice or lay off those specific individuals. If you don't believe, just recall whomsoever had a very bad opinion about India Office and he/she is out within a year so that they don't raise same issue again. Canteen food is pathetic and complaining on food quality is of no help as for namesake they say the caterer has changed but within a week the same hostile food is served.
