Pros

Everyone is so laid back and friendly. They make you feel accepted. Open floor plan. They like to have little events every month to break up the day-to-day work environment. Great benefits. Work from home days are a plus.

Cons

Some of the work can be tedious when it comes to designing. Sometimes, the work process in the department can change every few months. Which can be annoying when you are trying to get use to working one way. There's a dump nearby that you can sometimes smell from the parking lot.

Pros

Great benefits, including paid time off. A lot of opportunity to work with different people across the world and across job roles. I was able to build on my skill set, from a jumior level to senior level.

Cons

US employees are not given the same opportunities and overall employment culture. When it comes to management, design, and engineering, it is not a work culture that truly embraces things like discoveries and focus on customer problems. There is a lot of emphasis put on new talent hiring, this is excellent for those early in their career, but there is little to no support for career growth for past mid-level.

Thank you for your review. We take pride in supporting and nurturing all our employees globally and we work hard to make Elsevier a great place to work. Also, we always make employees feel they have a stake in the success of our organization and that speaking up and addressing concerns is a collective responsibility. Regrettably, the issues you raised under cons were not brought to our attention when you were with us. However, we have shared your feedback with the right people within our organization as we feel discoveries and focus on our customer problems are some of our priority areas as a business. Again, thank you for your review.

Pros

wfh, flex-hours, would hear ideas out (depending on your team), occasional catered lunch (once a week roughly)

Cons

health benefits are less than stellar. Pay is aweful. I got a better offer years prior. Only reason I took it was because I was greatly under pressure, in-part by them. I will not go into details.
