No direction at all. Your goals for the year are not even set until March, and even then, your manager will tell you to come up with some on your own. Those should be driven straight from the top down the the lowest level of employee. Every single goal should be supporting your superior's goals, not something you make up on your own after 25% of the year has passed.

Jobs are being sent to Manila on a regular basis. The company has lost so many people in the last few years they are now forced to sublet 1 of 3 floors of the building that they moved into just 7 years ago.
They only offer a high deductible plan for health insurance. When they moved to that, the drop in the premiums was no where near enough to cover the increase in your out of pocket costs. Plan to put aside a hefty amount of your salary to cover everything the plan does not. Take this job if you cannot find anywhere else to work, but for no other reason.
