Pros

Elsevier is in a very meaningful business space. It is inspiring to work for an organization with such an important role in health and education. New CEO is smart and cares about her people.

Cons

Upper mgmt not on the same page in my division. Operate on a shoestring amount of people resources with ambitions that go well beyond their willingness to invest in people to support.

Pros

New CEO(Kumsal B.) has company culture headed in the right direction for taking care of employees

Cons

The economic challenges will continue to cause problems for Elsevier - layoffs are common in more traditional roles. Too many/too close for me to continue with Elsevier.
