Pros

Benefits were good, actual local team management was good, the place they want to be is a worthy ambition.

Cons

There was a heavy - and bonus linked - push to modernise, coupled with a lack of resourcing and paucity of actual decisions that slowed down progress to the point where it wasn't possible to do a good job.

Thank you for your review. At Elsevier, objectives are set by both employees and their managers. The onus is on both parties to go through, agree on and speak up when these objectives are set. Throughout the year, there are opportunities for both parties to meet and discuss any challenges and agree on updates. As strategies, technologies, and innovation collide, we rely on all our employees including leaders to help the organization's strategy but not at the expense of not doing a good job.
