Pros

Work/life balance and flexible work environments are hard to beat! The flexibility of time and place, the trust managers have in you to complete your tasks on YOUR schedule, and PTO are important. Inspiring mission of improving healthcare and better serving customers. Amazing people who are not only passionate about healthcare industry but also ambitious, creative, and willing to take risks. Office morale seems to have made a significant shift in the right direction from a year ago thanks to changes in upper management, collaborative environments, and opinions from US employees finally being considered.

Cons

New open floor plans are great for collaborating and bonding as a team but very distracting. Still very hierarchical at times and office politics abound. Employees generally rank their relationship with direct boss highly positive, but this doesn't translate to trust in other teams or the C-suite. Still work to be done to gain back employee trust after poor management in prior years.

Pros

Great collaboration and agile work environment makes working with colleagues even better! Constant engagement initiatives as well as employee driven engagement groups for all interests. Autonomous working environment, trust adults will be adults and that you will complete the tasks at hand which is very refreshing. Constant pushes for development within career whether inside or outside of the company.

Cons

Agile work environment is new and not everything is in place to ensure its success, slowly getting there.

Pros

I've been with the company for 2+ years and so happy to still be working here. Each team/department is different, but my experiences have been phenomenal. I have the best team and manager I could ever ask for. We are all super close and in a group chat. My VP and Sr. VP are both very supporting and want to see each and every person succeed. Elsevier does so much for its employees that I don't think many people realize. It is an extremely diverse company, lots of happy hours and fun non alcohol related events, mentor/mentee program, tons of clubs to be involved that has nothing to do with work, good work/life balance, etc. the list goes on. I am honestly happy to be working for this amazing company

Cons

Takes forever to resolve laptop issues. My team comes across the same issues all the time. I work on my laptop all day so this does slow me down and cause a lot of problems and annoyance.
