      Pros

      Having worked for a number of companies Embark has been a wonderful surprise in how open others are to new and different ideas, has a culture on succeeding as a team and not an individual and is focused on creating a great user experience vs a done feature.

      Cons

      As a growing start up you end up wearing a lot of hats and while most days are very smooth you have an occasional day where you are jumping in to help other teams.

      Pros

      Working at Embark is fun, challenging, and rewarding. Knowing that the work we do is driving progress in the field of canine genetics (and beyond) while improving the lives of dogs and dog owners makes it a pleasure to show up every day. The engineering organization has grown rapidly, which provides ample opportunity for everyone to make an impact on our technology and processes. Management and peers are excellent and I have felt valued from day one.

      Cons

      Priorities will shift from time to time, but leadership is always transparent about why that is, and the company's overall mission to improve the lives of dogs is always paramount.
