      Pros

      I used to be a bartender at the same property for a number of years and saw many managers come on go. It took me awhile to actually consider management sincerely. I always said I would never do it. I’m so glad I have so far. Advancement opportunities and you’re part of the Hilton family, you can stay at any Hilton property for 45 dollars a night,Obv some exceptions) and other great Benefits. Overall it’s my first foray into hospitality management and I’m enjoying the variety and problem solving.

      Cons

      Hotels operate everyday of the year. Keep that in mind. It doesn’t mean you have to work every holiday, but in management you’re alway the one responsible. So yeah…

      Pros

      Travel benefits. Challenge of banquets and running 2 full service restaurants.

      Cons

      Staffing, we are always under staff. With little assistance from management team, in other related departments, ie banquets, FOH. Mainly due to lack of skill and experience.
