Pros

Emerson is very flexible with family commitments and your work schedule. You can work remotely when necessary although this is up to individual managers, the policy is to not allow it. They offer a dress for your day dress code.

Cons

There are very limited career growth opportunities. Leadership give opportunities to their friends rather than those who earn them many times.

Can be a cyclical company depending on economic impact of oil&gas and consumer housing industry. Diversifying to mitigate, but still sees those economic challenges every 4-6 years
