      Good management, flexible work hours, ability to work independantly, competitive salary but not great, try to keep people in the slow times,

      Sometimes extensive travel, benefits are just average for a large company, large amounts of outsourcing to India and having to clean up their mess

      Below market salaries, selective long term growth for few; majority are at same level. Lot of politics hindering the growth of the company. small town in the middle of Ohio

      Pros

      Emerson has a dynamic working environment with many learning opportunities and challenges. However, there is a huge difference within the business units, so this makes it difficult to offer an overall rating for the company. You have the opportunity to build relationships and work in a nice environment with high educated people.

      Cons

      It is very obviously that local management is not willing to motivate people or do extra effort for employee satisfaction. No extra benefits for special positions, no negotiation when it comes to salary, no customized revenue packages.
