      Corporate Overhaul needed

      Pros

      Stable work environment, pay competitive in field. Benefits fair. Employee perks are nice including plenty of company "fun" days

      Cons

      No concept of work/life balance!! Management expects employees to average 60+ hours a week and for work trips to be gone for weeks at a time. Overworked, management terrible at budgeting hours required for a project. When project hours go over (and they always do) they just kick the can down the road. No accountability for employees, certain people are "untouchable" Culture is crap, people are nasty and cutthroat.

      I left for a reason

      Pros

      Very well run company, financially very stable, worked with some great people.

      Cons

      The company's mindset is stuck at least 10 years in the past. They are very slow to adopt new technology, and they are absolutely not prepared for a disruptive actor or technology to enter their markets. If you are not 'connected' within the company, opportunities for advancement are very slim. (I was 'connected' so this didn't affect me - but I saw what happened to people that weren't 'connected')
