- The micromanagement is insane. We were expected to report every time we moved away from our desktops. Even for mere minutes. - My manager needed a detailed break down of every single task I did/was planning to do throughout the day. Down to the hour. - I got no flexibility. A random day my manager came out of no where and told us that the number of working hours had been increased to 50 from 40. I think other teams were pretty chill in this regards, though. - I joined as a fresher, and my seniors never ever helped me. There were no knowledge transfer sessions, no trainings about the product. I was directly given a major development task and the pressure really had a bad effect on my mental health. - There was a point when I was working for 12 hours a day, and the work was still piling up. This was because I was still a beginner and didn't even have the basic gist of the product yet. My on-boarding was extremely rough and really burnt me out. - The company is too huge to care about your individual interests. Most of the times, you won't even know what is going on outside of your team. There's a large hierarchy. As a software developer, I never got any idea of the big picture. - As a fresher, I had like 12 days of leave assigned to me. Even those days, my manager would hesitate to approve. - I think most of this attributes to my team, rather than the company, but yeah - no work-life balance, rude unhelpful seniors, and micromanagement at the next level.
