      Good university, but I did not have a good experience

      Great location, good size, lots of access to interesting events

      Cons

      I was not a good fit for the research lab I was in. While others seemed to be happy sitting silently at their cubicles all day, I felt like I needed more communication and collaboration with peers. My supervisor was also rather disengaged, and in general it seemed that nobody had any passion for what they were doing. I decided to leave because it was a depressing work environment.

      Pros

      Emory University is a high quality private university. It has numerous scientific research resources both in hardware and software. And there are also a lot of opportunities to communicate with other scientists, share scientific ideas.

      Cons

      As a postdoctoral researcher, the salary is low, and the increase of salary is also low. Also, as the university is big, you always need to walk for long time to get the resources you want.
