Pros

Good benefits, particularly health insurance and a 6% matching of your retirement savings through their 403b plan. Annual reviews for promotion/pay raise eligibility. Friendly and intelligent faculty and staff throughout the University. Paid vacation and sick leave time accrues fairly quickly. This paid time off along with the various free health services offered to employees shows that Emory cares about work life balance. Beautiful campus.

Cons

Horrible traffic around area, and expensive parking pass. If you're involved in research, outreach, or some type of work that would benefit collaboration, it's often difficult to get people to look beyond their own work and self interest to collaborate with you, share resources, etc. Departments do not always do a great job of keeping you up to date with what kinds of work others are doing.

Pros

great benefits such as the medical, dental, vision; MARTA transportation for employees, educational opportunities for your and your family

Cons

no sense of work life balance depending on your department, race matters, and you will not be paid your worth and will be made to feel bad about asking for more money

Pros

Emory is good at what makes money, law, medicine, business. the students are limited, thus you have plenty of resources.

Cons

Gym is too old, although the rest facilities in the PE center are actually good. Seems to be involved into controversial political issues like Dalai Lama.
