Pros

Depending on your manager, there's an incredible degree of flexibility about structuring the working environment (working in office, from home, out of state). The University doesn't impose many restrictions

Cons

Modest annual salary increases, no maternity leave. I worked internationally and aside from evacuation insurance had no support in terms of securtiy.

Pros

I loved my coworkers and many of the faculty members- there were some lovely people. The benefits are excellent.

Cons

Within my unit, there were no opportunities for advancement. And while the benefits were excellent, the salary was not competitive and did not include cost of living adjustments or meaningful raises over time. Be prepared to job hop if you want a raise.
