Pros
I can’t imagine a work environment where performance was more purely rewarded. The management team has created a culture where anyone can rise (very quickly) within the organization based on merit and achievement. Additionally personal, team, and company-wide goals are clearly defined and communicated. Simply put, the company is organized and well led with opportunities abound. The management team spends a significant amount of time trying to create a culture of success, teamwork, and camaraderie. There are many employee appreciation and team building events held throughout the entire year including an employee offsite for the entire company. Not to mention an extremely comfortable, well-fed, and respectful office environment. Technology is at the heart and soul of this company, and its customers appreciate it and reap its benefits. The products are well thought out/designed, managed, and delivered. Customer desires and requirements play a healthy balance in steering the product development process which consistently drives positively impressive results. Product and customer support is at the center of the company's success. Customers often view the teams that support them as vital to the success of their business. Most 1010data employees certainly understand that their role is to ensure that customers gain actionable insights from Big Data using the Data Discovery Platform, and customers overwhelming appreciate this type of working relationship.
Cons
The product speaks for itself. There’s really no other way for companies to get more out of Big Data than working with 1010data. However, it is only offered as a cloud service, so it won’t be for everyone, but even if you are cloud averse you should really examine the cloud-onsite tradeoff as it is often well worth it. The Big Data space is evolving quickly so even more communication about strategic direction could be beneficial.
