Pros
1Micro is a very unique and special company for so many reasons. Some reasons include:
- Innovation & Growth: 1Micro is continuously improving and expanding its products, services/offerings, technology, processes, etc. There is no better place for someone to learn, try new things, take risks, grow their skills and knowledge, and contribute to the success of an organization.
- Collaboration: It's amazing to see and experience how so many different people and departments work together with the same goal. It's a great feeling to have your employer trust you and to feel comfortable sharing ideas, concerns, etc.
- People: The people I work with are the best part of my job. I could not imagine working anywhere else because I wouldn't get to work with these people. Everyone truly cares for each other and will help no matter how busy they are. It's an incredible learning opportunity to work with so many different people.
- Work-Life Balance: The people and company are very flexible and understanding. Again, everyone cares for each other and understands that rest is necessary and that your happiness outside of work is important.
Cons
Like any organization, there are areas that 1Micro can improve on, including:
- Planning: Projects and other initiatives do not always have a clear plan, which can cause delays, push back other projects/tasks, etc.
- Specialized People: The company is always improving, automating, etc., which is great. However, many of these new and innovative ways/technologies require very specialized people with the experience. Unfortunately, the company's location makes it difficult to attract the people with the type of experience and skills needed.
