Pros

Average pay Flexible hours Cool products

Cons

If you’re applying for the Meta Sales Specialist role, be prepared to take an excessive amount of photos as part of your daily work. From what I’ve seen, this doesn’t feel like a Meta requirement — it seems driven more by My2020. I highly doubt Meta needs employees taking this many photos of customers or Best Buy associates. You’re required to be in many of the photos yourself, and they must be high quality to be accepted in your surveys. If they aren’t, management will stay on you constantly, and at times it can feel borderline threatening. As the program goes on, the nonstop photo‑taking overshadows the actual sales responsibilities, and you start to feel less like a sales rep and more like a photographer. I’ve done many programs for this company over the years, and none have ever required this level of photo documentation. Honestly, the role should be called “Meta Photo Taking & Sales Specialist.” If you enjoy taking photos of customers, Best Buy associates, and everything else all day long — along with several other unusual requirements — then this program might be for you. Otherwise, be aware of what you’re signing up for.

Pros

Absolutely none, this company is a train wreck.

Cons

Online training only. Anytime you reach out to your supposed manager, they either tell you to contact someone else, go to the chat room for that job, or go to the portal. None of the websites are an HTML5, so they are almost impossible to read on a mobile device. I have been in the third party business for almost 20 years and work for almost all of the companies. This one by far is the worst. The final straw was yesterday when the first question on the call report asked for me to take a selfie that showed my embroidered shirt name tag and open-toed shoes. I don't have a selfie stick and my arms are not that long. Every job you do, you have to call in when you're done and they go over your call report and are an absolute hurry to tell you all the things you did wrong. Even though you've done the same job at the same store for 3 months. I would steer clear of this company full-time or part-time. I am in disbelief that this company is actually still around.
