Pros

2020 has invested heavily in my growth over the years. From mentorship to training, you get back what you put in. Leadership has always gone the extra mile to develop my strengths and has translated into a broad set of skills that I wouldn't have been exposed to otherwise.

Cons

They tend to run lean due to the nature of the business, but this opens you up to constantly developing new skills. If you're adaptable and quick to learn, you'll be fine.

Pros

Work–life balance — The company genuinely respects your time, making it easy to maintain a healthy balance between work and personal life. Supportive team culture — You get to work with people who truly care about your success. The team is collaborative, encouraging, and always willing to help. Growth‑focused environment — Leadership and peers actively invest in your development, making sure you have the tools, guidance, and confidence to succeed in the field. Reliable support system — Whether you’re new or experienced, support is always available. You never feel like you’re navigating challenges alone.

Cons

Fast‑paced environment — Things move quickly, which can be challenging at times, but it also keeps the work exciting and helps you grow fast. High expectations — The company sets a strong standard for performance. It pushes you, but in a way that helps you develop professionally. Lots to learn — There’s a lot of information to absorb early on. It can feel overwhelming, but the support from the team makes it manageable and rewarding. Frequent changes — Processes and priorities evolve often. It can be an adjustment, but it shows the company is always improving and adapting. Independent work — You’re trusted to handle responsibilities on your own. It’s a challenge at first, but it builds confidence and ownership.

Pros

Average pay Flexible hours Cool products

Cons

If you’re applying for the Meta Sales Specialist role, be prepared to take an excessive amount of photos as part of your daily work. From what I’ve seen, this doesn’t feel like a Meta requirement — it seems driven more by My2020. I highly doubt Meta needs employees taking this many photos of customers or Best Buy associates. You’re required to be in many of the photos yourself, and they must be high quality to be accepted in your surveys. If they aren’t, management will stay on you constantly, and at times it can feel borderline threatening. As the program goes on, the nonstop photo‑taking overshadows the actual sales responsibilities, and you start to feel less like a sales rep and more like a photographer. I’ve done many programs for this company over the years, and none have ever required this level of photo documentation. Honestly, the role should be called “Meta Photo Taking & Sales Specialist.” If you enjoy taking photos of customers, Best Buy associates, and everything else all day long — along with several other unusual requirements — then this program might be for you. Otherwise, be aware of what you’re signing up for.
