Pros
Initially was a good place to work, with a more coach/support role as a FSM for Samsung. As is the case with so many companies, the hard truth comes out.
Cons
You are completely at the mercy of the client. They can wake up one day and cut your market through no fault of your own, just to save $$$. 2020 created an XPS (experiential specialist program) in March of this year, only to overhire, not have enough work for the people, and announce layoffs in July. This is a disgrace. Nobody in upper management has been held accountable for this debacle, even though the company likes to say how everyone is accountable. There is a lot of talk about career advancement and other opportunities, but management themselves have acknowledged that a lot of jobs never get posted on the web site. There are no pay raises; on the contrary, mileage reimbursement has just been decreased. So now many people are beating up their cars with no compensation. We are supposed to push so-called "Samsung Academy" - online courses of questionable value, often about outdated devices. Reps in stores do not want to take them, and we have nothing to give them that they want...they do NOT want book bags, pens, or hats. They want money or gift cards, and that is exactly what Samsung is not providing. Samsung has had 7 consecutive quarters of declining profits. This is not going to end well. I am afraid sooner rather than later this program will be cut, and hundreds of people will be out of a job - except for upper management, of course.
