Pros
The amount of PTO provided, even to new employees, is quite generous. I earn about 28 days of PTO through the year, of which some years I struggle to find reasons to use. Having every Friday off for three months is a cool deal.
The market stipend is nice, as long as you come into the office your department-mandated number of days. $50 per month is enough for me to pick up snacks here and there and even cover my lunch if I left it at home or something. The market is stocked by the world's worst company, Aramark, however, so don't get too excited about variety or options. 50% of the stock are chips, the other half are nuts and generic candy bars.
I would tout the holiday party as something nice, but seeing other people's company holiday parties, its pretty average. The summer event they put on is fun.
Cons
Good luck getting any kind of promotion here anymore, especially if your department is a cost center and not marketing or sales.
Constantly being told that you're doing an excellent job, getting full marks on your employee review, only to have any request for promotion or career pathing shot down, is very demoralizing. HR controls your department budget and your department staffing needs, all while having no idea what goes on in said department.
