Pros

This is a very good company to work for. I've been here for a year and a half. The pay is excellent and most co-workers are friendly. It's possible to move up but takes some time if you're new.

Cons

-Swing shift is the worst thing about this company. They talk about safety but yet don't seem to care about our health regarding whether we got enough sleep the previous night or day. Having to work 12 hrs after only getting 4 hours of sleep is not fun. You're either a day shift person or a night shift person, there is no in between. Your body will sleep better on one of those shifts. We could easily go to just 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift. I understand that the machines have to run 24/7 to make money but this is wear and tear on our body. The people in the office don't understand because they don't have to work it. There are people that have worked here 30+ years and look worn down. I'm not trying to be that person if these hours continue. -Also we are encouraged to put in ideas for improvement but do not get compensated for it. The office gets bonuses for implementing these ideas but we just get a "Good job". We are a important piece in this process.

Pros

They pay well, but they think that's all that matters.

Cons

Say goodbye to your family, you won't see them while you work here. Supervisors are hired based off how well they brown-nose. Engineers refuse to find actual issues and just blame operators. HR is an absolute joke and tell victims of sexual harassment to get therapy instead of firing the offender. Supervisors that ruin the departments they're in charge of are promoted. Absolute trash, completely toxic, and just plain stupid. If corporate wanted to see progress at this plant, they would fire all higher ups and get people actually qualified for the positions in here. You only get promoted or given interviews based on how long you've worked at the plant. Supervisors, managers, engineers, etc. are never held accountable as long as they blame someone else. And if you work on night crew, you aren't even considered human. 3rd shift is treated as 3rd class.
