Office politics is their favorite game over there. Many VPs not over my department would hover over my team and go straight to HR if there were any issues, bypassing my manager. After going out of my way to help another individual in another department for a project they needed my expertise on, I was given an unofficial write up because I didn't do my job (even though it was what my manager asked of me). A few individuals in senior management are sexist, if you show any normal amount of masculinity, they will make sure you feel like you are not welcome in their presence. The IT Department is a joke. After returning all my equipment (computer, monitors, etc...) I was harassed by HR to return it, threatening that they would take it out of my last paycheck. IT also has signage showing how long it's been without a 'major' incident (usually the number is low meaning incidents happen often in that department), which shows that maybe the company is not in good hands. I have also heard of 5 separate instances where HR took legal action on individuals who left the company or trying to leave, stating if you work at this other company (not even in the same industry) we will sue you. Oh, but they won’t sue you if you are a woman (female team lead left and convinced 2 other females to join her at a new company and zero legal action was made), restating the sexist themes.
