Pros

Amazing talent, great business model, solid business plan for franchise, quality benefits for salary positions, paid time off. 7-Eleven has a great over all culture, promotes leadership, provides strong training programs, and many of the people I worked with had a tenure of over 10 years. In the C-Store industry 7-Eleven gets it right, I loved my time at this company and grew both professionally and personally.

Cons

Leadership turn-over-great business model with continual varied interpretations causes disruption. Lack of follow thru-Do as I say not as I as do mentally from corporate-Unintended consequences of labor matrix create cheating managers (Managers often complete or assist on-line training assessment test for new-hire employees to meet their labor and training requirements. Therefore they fail both their internal and external customer. )

Pros

Pay, Schedule Flexibility and Local Teams - That is where the pro's stop

Cons

Upper Management don't seem to have a clue! They do cuts throughout the company every 2 to 3 years just to hire back/hire new people into roles they eliminated 6 months earlier. They say they value people and their concerns but the majority of workers say nothing about the toxic work environment created by Zone Leaders and above in fear of being singled out. They create positions that don't add value to the field and add more and more work onto field staff. Size of areas continually change - first its 10, then 12, then 16, back to 12 and back to 14+ stores. No consistency in there direction, they train you to manage the whirlwind but the problem is...... they create the whirlwind! Upper Management is a do as I say, no questions asked
