Pros

They are building lots of new stores and they own Speedway. The company is great. The CEO has a great vision. My area leader is amazing. LGBTQ+ friendly!

Cons

Bonus structure makes it impossible to achieve a bonus in the new Dual-Concept model. Your budget is prepared by grossly incompetent people, and you expect random every week or 2 gas price resets where you will be the highest price around for 2-4 days. But don't worry the fuel pricing team doesn't think that affects merchandise sales. Promotions require tenure and is not based on qualifications. Upper management is not on the same page as the CEO with Retailer Initiative. Benefits are not even in the ballpark of being good. Speedway area leaders running 7-eleven's are about 6-12 months from having a good understanding of RIS. Managers of restaurants and store leaders are leaving in droves.

Pros

Pay, Schedule Flexibility and Local Teams - That is where the pro's stop

Cons

Upper Management don't seem to have a clue! They do cuts throughout the company every 2 to 3 years just to hire back/hire new people into roles they eliminated 6 months earlier. They say they value people and their concerns but the majority of workers say nothing about the toxic work environment created by Zone Leaders and above in fear of being singled out. They create positions that don't add value to the field and add more and more work onto field staff. Size of areas continually change - first its 10, then 12, then 16, back to 12 and back to 14+ stores. No consistency in there direction, they train you to manage the whirlwind but the problem is...... they create the whirlwind! Upper Management is a do as I say, no questions asked
