Stuck in Nineteen-84 - Manager Trainee 84 Lumber Employee Review

Pros

You do have an opportunity to learn about the process of home building and network with some of the better contractors in your area, helpful if you are a homeowner.

Cons

Long hours, poor pay, "at home self study course" requires that you train yourself off the clock or lose chance to get a full share of the store bonus. If your boss smokes cigarettes, there will be smoking inside a facility that isn't heated or cooled, HR openly states they "tend to hire women at the Corporate office", and the racist/homophobic commentary from co-workers gets old fast.

Pros

Good benefits, pay is decent. If you work from home FT as a Manager , you can also run your own business while on the clock get paid for it. Who wouldn't want to work there.

Cons

You can work your butt off, put in more hours than you should and get no respect in return.
