Pros

Good Benefits; Oatmeal from the "cafeteria"; nice mailroom people

Cons

In a company where the people representing you are referred to as "In-Human Resources", you best align yourself with someone in upper management quickly, or you'll be going nowhere fast; they make all the policies, despite what (I)HR wants you to think. The company is scrambling to offset poor TV ratings for the past few years, and it's caused upper management to make some very poor decisions; there are quite a few unhappy people working there, but no one seems to care. Look elsewhere if you can; otherwise, if you're junior, get your one to two years' experience and get going elsewhere soon after.

Pros

I worked on the Content Creation team which is primarily made up of contract employees. Work is remote, but plenty of opportunities to get together in office and meet other people and socialize afterwards. Everyone on the team is great to work with, there are efficient systems in place and it is a well-oiled machine! I've done two contract rounds with them and am looking forward to my next one.

Cons

No opportunities to convert from contract to staff. There are a lot of things that aren't available to contract employees that are only available to staff (certain meetings, resources, etc). Contract employees are limited to 18 months, and then are required to take a year off.

Pros

Some very nice people; had good benefits although those are being cut back because of financial uncertainty

Cons

Fading industry, frequent layoff cycles with hints of more to come, the company is trying to innovate but some divisions are slow to modernize other than throwing around silly talking points at meetings.
