Pros

Some good people, good location, nice building, good food, nice benefits.

Cons

On the digital side, development management from high-level directors on down focus on covering their backs and protecting each other from poor financial transaction software development resulting in numerous customer-facing billing issues. Never actually interested resolving the core platform issues, instead, hiding the data showing the faulty coding and forcing those out who raised the issues. Be a player or get played. No one speaks their mind, always talking out of both sides of their faces. It was like working in an elementary school.

Pros

I worked on the Content Creation team which is primarily made up of contract employees. Work is remote, but plenty of opportunities to get together in office and meet other people and socialize afterwards. Everyone on the team is great to work with, there are efficient systems in place and it is a well-oiled machine! I've done two contract rounds with them and am looking forward to my next one.

Cons

No opportunities to convert from contract to staff. There are a lot of things that aren't available to contract employees that are only available to staff (certain meetings, resources, etc). Contract employees are limited to 18 months, and then are required to take a year off.

Pros

Some very nice people; had good benefits although those are being cut back because of financial uncertainty

Cons

Fading industry, frequent layoff cycles with hints of more to come, the company is trying to innovate but some divisions are slow to modernize other than throwing around silly talking points at meetings.
