Pros

-New CEO (Paul Buccieri) seems to be making a real difference and has change the work environment for the better. He admits there were problems within with prior leadership and is working diligently and transparently to make things better. Things are looking up for the first time in a while. -Good benefits if you're luck enough to be a staff employee -Lots of PTO

Cons

Management is horrible at promoting people. For the most part, only those who are in the department click are promoted, even if they are not remotely qualified for a promotion. Very common to promote people on all levels of the company who have not been around for long, even if they have not contributed much to the company. The distribution of work is very uneven. Some people work very long hours and need help to manage the volume while others sit around most days socializing because they don't have enough work to do. People are eager to work, but are often not given the opportunity. Very difficult for vertical movement and long term growth. The company struggles to recognize those who are talented and can have a real impact.

Pros

I worked on the Content Creation team which is primarily made up of contract employees. Work is remote, but plenty of opportunities to get together in office and meet other people and socialize afterwards. Everyone on the team is great to work with, there are efficient systems in place and it is a well-oiled machine! I've done two contract rounds with them and am looking forward to my next one.

Cons

No opportunities to convert from contract to staff. There are a lot of things that aren't available to contract employees that are only available to staff (certain meetings, resources, etc). Contract employees are limited to 18 months, and then are required to take a year off.

Pros

Some very nice people; had good benefits although those are being cut back because of financial uncertainty

Cons

Fading industry, frequent layoff cycles with hints of more to come, the company is trying to innovate but some divisions are slow to modernize other than throwing around silly talking points at meetings.
