Pros

The medical benefits are decent but the premiums have increased significantly.

Cons

The company has been mismanaged for years hiring nothing but undeserving managers which breed hostility and toxicity. Bad decisions by management, especially within the technology department have caused employee morale to decline and employees to jump ship . The technology department is made up primarily of managed services, outsourced support and staff, and employees from India holding H1B visas. I have witnessed American employees forced to interview offshore people that would be taking their job. This one act of hostility towards employees is truly disgusting and unfortunately all to common for a company which prioritizes cheap labor over quality. The technology management team is made up a few people who are favored by senior management and get away with poor professional behavior. The management team does not possess professional development skills such as critical thinking and conflict management. Most times if a manager does not like you, they will their best to sabotage you and create a hostile environment which people cannot be successful in. For some reason this aggressive behavior is rewarded and protected instead of confronted and corrected. Most other negative reviews hit the nail on the head and clearly state what issues are too common within A+E and especially technology. This by far is the worst company I have ever worked for.

Pros

I worked on the Content Creation team which is primarily made up of contract employees. Work is remote, but plenty of opportunities to get together in office and meet other people and socialize afterwards. Everyone on the team is great to work with, there are efficient systems in place and it is a well-oiled machine! I've done two contract rounds with them and am looking forward to my next one.

Cons

No opportunities to convert from contract to staff. There are a lot of things that aren't available to contract employees that are only available to staff (certain meetings, resources, etc). Contract employees are limited to 18 months, and then are required to take a year off.

Pros

Some very nice people; had good benefits although those are being cut back because of financial uncertainty

Cons

Fading industry, frequent layoff cycles with hints of more to come, the company is trying to innovate but some divisions are slow to modernize other than throwing around silly talking points at meetings.
