Pros

People are nice. Nicely underpaid. Medical benefits are good, but they don’t include spouses. Time Off policy is fine if you don’t mind being contacted during your time off.

Cons

Company was worth $1.2B in 2018. Its valuation is $640M (per their website). They have 17 floors spread across 2 buildings in NYC, an office in Stamford CT, an office in Chicago, LA, Detroit, and London and approx 4000 employees.

Pros

I worked on the Content Creation team which is primarily made up of contract employees. Work is remote, but plenty of opportunities to get together in office and meet other people and socialize afterwards. Everyone on the team is great to work with, there are efficient systems in place and it is a well-oiled machine! I've done two contract rounds with them and am looking forward to my next one.

Cons

No opportunities to convert from contract to staff. There are a lot of things that aren't available to contract employees that are only available to staff (certain meetings, resources, etc). Contract employees are limited to 18 months, and then are required to take a year off.

Pros

Some very nice people; had good benefits although those are being cut back because of financial uncertainty

Cons

Fading industry, frequent layoff cycles with hints of more to come, the company is trying to innovate but some divisions are slow to modernize other than throwing around silly talking points at meetings.
