Pros

They seem to really be concerned with us and cared about our performance. They started a call center and acted like they truly cared about us and preached that they wanted us to help families find placement The local management was great. Everyone in the Austin center was out to help us succeed.

Cons

They laid us all off with no warning at all. They told us they wanted to expand and make the new call center even better. Then without warning, two weeks before Christmas, corperate shut the center down and laid everyone off. I was about to go perm, as were a few others. What they did was incredibly unfair, especially since we were outperforming teams they had outsourced to venders.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We understand these changes have real consequences to the individuals impacted in the Austin office and we try to keep these types of changes to a minimum. In regard to our recent decision concerning our CareGivers pilot, A Place for Mom’s leadership undertook a thorough evaluation prior to making this decision. Our decision to focus on the traditional homecare business did impact some employees. This decision was not taken lightly. However, we believe this was the right decision for our business, and the families and partners we support.

Pros

The role allowed me to help families during important and emotional decisions.

Cons

It was difficult to stay motivated when the pressure kept increasing especially when balancing compassion for families with demanding targets.
