Pros

Sitting on your butt all day and talking on the phone. Free coffee

Cons

***MOST OF THESE 5 STAR REVIEWS ARE FAKE*** When I was hired on, it was great in the beginning. I loved the company and what I did. Halfway through December they laid off 3/4 of the Austin office. A month later there was an incident between the remaining 9 employees. One of the employees went to HR to file a complaint. Their solution? Fire the remaining 9 out of the blue. They dont care about employees. 2 of the employees are experiencing a financial difficulty. 1 of them was planning a wedding and she just moved here from 2000 miles away. Another one has a baby on the way. Really? You've got to be kidding me. What a company... and a waste of 3 months of my life. Thanks APFM!! WAY TO SCREW US OVER AND ALL THE OTHER CALL CENTERS.... Oh yeah. Side note. They've outsourced the call center 4 or 5 times. Each one has been laid off. Don't apply to the call center. If you do, keep your resume polished.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we’re glad to hear that you did enjoy the experience for the majority of your time with us. We thank you and the other team members, both employees and contractors, for all your efforts and contributions. It was a difficult decision to wind down operations and it was driven by business reasons, not by the HR complaint you referenced. We take any HR complaints seriously, and the well-being of our employees and contractors is important to us. We encourage you to look for other opportunities at A Place for Mom that may be a good fit for you.

Pros

The role allowed me to help families during important and emotional decisions.

Cons

It was difficult to stay motivated when the pressure kept increasing especially when balancing compassion for families with demanding targets.
