Normal growing pains of scaling a startup from a few employees to many - both in culture & operations.
As the company grows, development/engineering seems to get relegated away from the business and into it's own black box, hidden behind hierarchy and process.
"Too many Chiefs and not enough Indians" - planning & strategizing can trump doing, testing, collaborating, gathering feedback, validating, and producing results.
We've been through 3 project management/ticketing systems, and many more ancillary tools & dashboard products in the last 6 months, all of which are still in use in some form, yet no one really uses any of them.
Criticism is not always warmly received.
Slow moving, old school parent company vacillates between being incredibly supportive of our endeavors and being a monumental pain in our collective rear. But, there is never a question of whether or not they will pay our paychecks, and at the end of the day the parent company is a solid organization and a great business with lots of integrity.
