Pros

After careful consideration, I regret to say that I find it challenging to identify any specific pros associated with my experience working for this company. It's been a unique experience that, unfortunately, did not align with my expectations or career goals.

Cons

My experience working at APFM was nothing short of a nightmare, and it's primarily due to the disastrous executive leadership. [Executive Leadership] The leadership team at APFM is completely out of touch with the realities of the workplace, and the senior living industry. Their decisions were often arbitrary, and hasty, and made without considering the impact on employees. It's clear that they prioritize their personal agendas over the well-being of the company and its workforce. Communication from the top-down was abysmal. Important decisions were made in secret, and employees were left in the dark about the direction of the company. When issues arose, they were consistently ignored or inadequately addressed. There was a complete lack of accountability among the executives. Mistakes and failures were never owned up to, and the blame was often shifted to lower-level employees. This toxic culture of scapegoating eroded trust and morale. It was clear that in certain instances, decision-making processes were influenced by the personal egos of the C-Suite rather than sound, objective judgment. This hindered the ability to make the best choices for the situation at hand and produced disappointing results lowering company wide morale. The welfare of employees was not a priority for the executives. Long working hours were expected, forced OT, denied PTO, and without regard for lower level work-life balance. Employee concerns were dismissed, and there was no support for professional development or career advancement with continual bait and switch of current employees, and hiring from outside APFM. The toxic atmosphere created by the executive leadership trickled down throughout the organization, leading to a demoralized workforce. It's no surprise that the company struggled to retain top talent and many senior leaders are fleeing the company. In sum, APFM is a prime example of how terrible executive leadership can cripple an otherwise promising company. My time there was marred by the dysfunction at the top, and it's clear that they need a major overhaul in their leadership structure to succeed in the future.
