A1 Garage Door Service

Engaged Employer

Horrible companany. They look for salesman not qualified door techs. Being paid by commission says it all.. - Sales Representative A1 Garage Door Service Employee Review

Pros

I was nervous to even give a1 doors a chance when they wanted me to come work for them.. there a commission based company. If your not selling 1000.00 dollar tickets, your not making them happy nor are you going to "break minimum" . No real pros working here.

Cons

They hire salesmen and teach them how to do garage doors in 2-3 weeks.... even my so called area manager was knocked unconscious because he was hit in the head with the track.... total lack of professionalism . If you can't make them money then forget you. My advice is to stay clear. But if your willing to say anything to get the sale then this is the place for you. I've been on some callback jobs that they should be embarrassed to even call themselves door techs....

Love hearing this. The time away from family is real, and we don't take that lightly. Glad the training and management are making it worth it. Welcome to the team, We're glad you're here.

Pros

love how the rest of the internet skewers the company for being shady but on may 28, 2026, there were suddenly 12 employees who felt the need to leave 5 star reviews all at once with the same comments, slightly reworded

Cons

definitely not fishy at all in the words of supposedly 12 other employees all on the same day: "this job is a dream, i love tommy mello and he loves me. no cons at all"
