Pros

- good pay, i started of as a call center agent with at least $13/hr - solid company. i doubt there is going to be any mass layoff any time soon. the company is always expanding nationally -great co-workers. the people i work with are very nice and always eager to help -great benefits- after 90 days you get the options of medical, vision, dental, & life -learn a lot about California insurance and the industry itself-now i know how to ready my car insurance! -opportunities to move up & beyond to other departments. but with such a huge scale organization it gets very competitive even within the company itself!

Cons

-you'll have to work every third saturday (but you'll still get one day off from the week), this isn't so bad if you don't mind this schedule -new comers start 12pm to 9pm shifts until you have really good stats to request earlier shifts (even then it's not even guaranteed) -very repetitive -difficult customers. luckily the good one outweights the bad ones but when the angry ones do call, they're usually pretty complicated- you'll learn to resolve with time -technolgically lagging. they're getting there, but i feel the company has a lot to catch up with a lot things. this isnt Geico or Progressive, so they're a couple of years behind on certain of the equipment and processing. it sometimes hinders the customer's requests so it may put you in a slightly bad spot

Pros

Yearly bonus, small stipend for working from home for internet, Celebrate As One Points rewarded to use to purchase products, HSA/FSA.

Cons

Micromanaging to the point where you become hyper aware and race to get the numbers according to flawed metrics. It's very demoralizing. Role out of new systems and processes that cause too many issues the hinder a smooth work day, but you're still expected to complete a certain amount of tasks. A back office Admin function does not need call center type metrics.
