Pros

Alright Compensation Upward Mobility expense card/high car allowance.. (i guess)

Cons

While the compensation for an account manager is fair... l. As a union carrier our pricing is almost 20-30% higher then the competition with the same operational flaws. Instead of problems being addressed its common for higher ups to point fingers as a way to deflect blame. Problems are rarely solved and its the customer who suffer Management is extremely naive.... They seem to believe that entertainments yield business, not price and service Every single account manager that I am contact with are extremely unhappy and looking on a way out JUST DONT DO IT, THIS IS A PRODUCT THAT YOU WILL GROW TO HAVE NO CONFIDENCE IN AND WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE MISERABLE

Pros

Low stress environment. No cost Healthcare benefits. An amazing Defined Benifit Pension. Terrific Company to work for.

Cons

Working on a cold dock in the Winter with do doors. Some workers that don’t appreciate the benifits of working under a Teamster contract.

Pros

Pay is best in the business. $100,000+ first year as a road driver. Year two I made $107,000… and took two months off for cancer surgery. Year three I made $129,000. I average 2-3 nights per week in a hotel. Usually only 1 night out then back home the next day. Frequently running turns (home at end of the run). Insurance is free and EXCELLENT coverage. I paid $1,000 total out-of-pocket for cancer surgery.

Cons

Not much life/work balance. Frustrating spending time on the extra board waiting to get a call to go to work, but with more seniority you get less wait time.
