      Pros

      You won’t lose your job no matter what you do. The job is pretty laid back

      Cons

      Cdl drivers will never drive a truck. You will work the dock at night and every weekend for at least 5 years before you can even think about getting a drivers bid. The environment at the work place is not good at all. The senior guys do not want new guys who get hired to have good schedules. I do not advise anyone to work at this place. It’s the worst job I have ever had

      Pros

      Low stress environment. No cost Healthcare benefits. An amazing Defined Benifit Pension. Terrific Company to work for.

      Cons

      Working on a cold dock in the Winter with do doors. Some workers that don’t appreciate the benifits of working under a Teamster contract.

      Pros

      Pay is best in the business. $100,000+ first year as a road driver. Year two I made $107,000… and took two months off for cancer surgery. Year three I made $129,000. I average 2-3 nights per week in a hotel. Usually only 1 night out then back home the next day. Frequently running turns (home at end of the run). Insurance is free and EXCELLENT coverage. I paid $1,000 total out-of-pocket for cancer surgery.

      Cons

      Not much life/work balance. Frustrating spending time on the extra board waiting to get a call to go to work, but with more seniority you get less wait time.
