      Pros

      Probably one of the better trucking jobs in the industry. Pay is decent. Once you are "hired on" it becomes next to impossible to fire you. They pay for you to get your CDL.

      Cons

      No work/life balance. The first 30 days you are treated like a dog. New employees are shunned by older employees. No vacation for 2 years. If you get sick, forget about it! Training for new employees sucks.

      Pros

      Low stress environment. No cost Healthcare benefits. An amazing Defined Benifit Pension. Terrific Company to work for.

      Cons

      Working on a cold dock in the Winter with do doors. Some workers that don’t appreciate the benifits of working under a Teamster contract.

      Pros

      Pay is best in the business. $100,000+ first year as a road driver. Year two I made $107,000… and took two months off for cancer surgery. Year three I made $129,000. I average 2-3 nights per week in a hotel. Usually only 1 night out then back home the next day. Frequently running turns (home at end of the run). Insurance is free and EXCELLENT coverage. I paid $1,000 total out-of-pocket for cancer surgery.

      Cons

      Not much life/work balance. Frustrating spending time on the extra board waiting to get a call to go to work, but with more seniority you get less wait time.
